Hendrick Marrow Program

The Hendrick Marrow Program was established in 1997 by our chairman and CEO of Hendrick Motorsports, Rick Hendrick when he was diagnosed with leukemia. He was lucky enough to not need a transplant but so many patients do so he wanted to do his part to give them a second chance at life!

The Hendrick Marrow Program works with the Be The Match Foundation to support the work of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). This program raises funds to add more potential donors to the registry; increasing the chances that more patients find their match! The program also helps patients to pay for some of the charges that are not covered by insurance including some transplant costs, which often cause some to not seek treatment.

The Hendrick Marrow Program has done all of the following:

• Raised more than $8 Million 
• Added more than 90,000 members to the registry (Be the Match)
• Eased financial burden for more than 4,000 patients with grants from the Hendrick Family Fund for Patient Assistance.

Rick Hendrick Dodge is proud to announce that Tonya Smiley is our new Employee of the Month for October 2008. Tonya has worked here since January of this year doing our service mailers, filing and lots more! She's so important to us and our daily organizational needs!
A Little about Tonya:
She is born and raised right here in Charleston, SC. She has two teenage sons which keep her very busy. She's an outdoor kind of girl. She loves horse back riding as well as anything else that keeps her busy outdoors. She also works in real estate should you have any real estate needs here in the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
