Overview

Chrysler 200 Convertible is a carryover model for 2012. A true mid-sized convertible, the 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible comfortable seats four adults and has sufficient truck space. One can choose from two automatically latching tops - a body-color painted steel, retractable hard top, or a cloth soft top. The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible is available in three trim levels: Chrysler 200 Convertible Touring, Chrysler 200 Convertible Limited and the Chrysler 200 Convertible S.

Power and performance

The new Chrysler 200 Convertible offers two engines that deliver power with efficiency. The 173 hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 29 mpg on highways and 20 in city areas. The all-new compact and lightweight 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine rated at 283 horsepower yields 19 mpg in city and 29 on highways. Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick which can be operated in manual or automatic mode, delivering the control of a manual transaxle with the convenience of an automatic.

Body and styling

The 2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible is characterized by newly refined front fascia, fenders and integrated projector headlamps and fog lamps. Its beauty goes beyond the open-air excitement of a top-down driving experience and has a completely new interior with luxurious fabrics and soft-touch surfaces. Some of these features include comfortable four-passenger seating with new premium cloth or leather-trimmed Seats, new soft-touch armrests, door panels, automatic temperature control, remote controls, electronic vehicle information center, instrument panel, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shift knob and new LED ambient light throughout.

The standard safety features are advanced multi-stage front passenger air bags, front-seat-mounted side air bags, Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) child seat anchor system, electronic stability control (ESC) with brake assist and traction control, four-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS), Brake Override, active front-seat head restraints, remote keyless illuminated entry, SentryKey engine immobilizer and security alarm.
