2017 Pacifica is Greener than Ever

Today, Chrysler issued a press release announcing EPA fuel economy ratings for the all-new 2017 Pacifica. Thanks to its lighter-weight construction, best-in-class drag coefficient, and award-winning Pentastar V-6 engine, the minivan achieves a highway rating of 28 mpg. This is the best highway rating of any minivan on the market, and represents an increase of 12 percent over the outgoing model.

When considering the vehicle's overall environmental impact, the new Pacifica if nine percent greener in regards to its Global Warming Potential (GWP) over 200,000 kilometers. GWP considers the environmental impact of fuel production and delivery, along with the implications of its consumption.

“The Pacifica isn’t just engineered for today,” says Mark Chernoby, Chief Operating Officer Product Development and Head of Product Portfolio Management for FCA’s Group Executive Council. “This vehicle is designed and crafted to enhance the lives of our customers for years to come. Total environmental impact is an important metric to consider as we introduce new fuel-efficient technologies."

The new 2017 Pacifica goes on sales this spring, with a hybrid model to follow in the second half of the year.
